Two stairs and a landing bed that turn a hard-to-reach window into an easy climb, no leap required.

Feline Behavior Perspective Feline Behavior Lead

"A single high jump is the number one reason older or less confident cats stop using a window perch entirely. Breaking that jump into two stair steps changes it from a leap of faith into a route they'll actually take every day."

Sarah signature Feline Behavior Lead

This set pairs a left-facing and right-facing stair step with a landing bed, giving your cat a two-stage climb instead of one big jump. It's a natural fit for senior cats, kittens still building confidence, or any household where a favorite window sill has become just out of easy reach.

Each step is finished in Berber carpet for secure grip on the way up, and that same carpet doubles as a built-in scratching surface. Mount the two stairs at a comfortable step height for your cat, with the bed as the landing point at the top, close to the window or shelf you're building access toward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this actually help an older or less agile cat? +

That's exactly the problem it solves. Breaking one big jump into two smaller steps is one of the simplest ways to keep a senior or less confident cat using a favorite high spot instead of giving it up as they age.

What does left-facing vs. right-facing mean, and does it matter which I install where? +

The two stairs are mirror images of each other, that's what lets them interlock into the staggered zigzag pattern shown in the photos. You get one of each in every set, there's no separate direction to choose.

Does the carpet on the steps double as a scratcher? +

Yes. The same carpet that gives your cat grip on the way up also holds up well to scratching, so the stairs pull double duty.

Can I choose a different carpet color? +

The carpet color on this particular set is fixed and can't be changed through standard checkout. If you'd like a different carpet color, reach out about a custom listing.

Great looking shelves. My cat has been up in them but he hasn't shown much excitement over them. Maybe that will come with time. The only problem is that the shelves are too small in width and my cat isn't overweight! He barely fits on the shelf and can't turn around.

These are awesome! Very well constructed and easy to assemble and install (I did it in half an hour). The great thing about them is that you can configure them on the wall in a number of ways to allow cats to reach high spots safely. Our cats are delighted that they now get to sit by a high window, and they were thrilled to discover finally that there is nothing on top of our tall wardrobe closet. My only suggestion is that even an inch or two wider would make them more comfortable for larger cats.

These shelves are beautiful and match my decor perfectly. My cat is obsessed with his new perch. The screws that were supplied were not the right kind though, thankfully my dad is a builder and had the appropriate screws on hand. I do wish the shelves were a bit wider, as Bruce cannot turn around on them. He's getting the hang of it though.

This is a gorgeous set of shelves, which my kitty Moose has fallen completely in love with. He only comes down to eat and use the box, then he is back up there!
