70" Tall Cat Tower for Large Cats with Dual Condos and Hammock
Budget IX: Everyday Collection
A six-foot tower that gives a large cat real vertical territory at a price that rarely delivers this much height or stability.
"I curate a lot of towers in this height range and they usually fall into one of two traps - either they wobble (bad base, narrow footprint) or they skimp on the condos (shallow, flimsy, one-size-fits-none). This one gets both right. The 34-inch base is wide enough to anchor a 71-inch tower, the two condos are actual usable size (13.5" x 13.5" x 14"), and the top perch gives a large cat a real lookout. For $84 it's honestly the best height-to-stability ratio in the Everyday Collection."

Height matters more than most buyers realize. Cats have an instinct to get as high as possible - it's a safety behavior, not just a preference - and a short tower often gets ignored for a bookshelf or windowsill. At 71 inches, this tower is tall enough to become the preferred lookout in most rooms.
The dual condos sit at different heights, which matters for multi-cat households - cats in the same home often sort themselves by elevation rather than fighting over one spot. Each condo has a removable, washable cover, which matters more than manufacturers usually admit: cat furniture that can't be cleaned will get replaced within 18 months.
Sisal scratching posts run the full height, giving cats multiple surfaces to stretch against. The side cat bed adds a padded mid-level lounging spot - good for older cats who want to stay included without climbing to the top.
*Fabric colors and textures may vary slightly between production runs - each piece is hand-assembled, which is part of what makes these feel less mass-produced and more considered.

Yes - 71 inches is in the right range for large breeds. The base footprint (34" wide) gives enough stability for a large cat to jump onto the top perch without the tower rocking. For a Maine Coon specifically, pair it with a wall shelf for additional vertical variety.
The Signature Line uses solid wood posts and larger condos built for multi-decade use. This tower uses engineered board with solid hardware - great for 3-5 years of regular use at a much lower price point. Different products for different budgets and expected lifespans.
Yes - they unvelcro from the condo shell for machine washing. This is one of the reasons I curated this specific tower. Non-removable condo covers are the #1 reason cat furniture gets replaced prematurely.
Living room, family room, or bedroom with a window are best - anywhere the cat spends time around people and can survey a main traffic area. Avoid placing against a blank wall or in a closed-off room. Cats use towers more when there's activity to watch.
