The Wallie is compact enough to place almost anywhere without adjusting the room around it. The upholstered top on solid wood legs functions as a foot stool -- a small but genuinely useful piece of furniture for a reading nook, bedroom, or home office. The interior is a soft enclosed space accessible through a circular opening on one side.

For cats, the enclosed interior checks the boxes that matter -- low to the ground, private, slightly hidden, soft underfoot. Cats that like to tuck themselves into small spaces tend to claim the Wallie quickly. It works particularly well in rooms where there is not space for a larger cat piece but where the cat clearly wants a dedicated spot.

Yes. The upholstered top is padded and firm enough to function as a proper foot stool. It is not a deeply cushioned ottoman -- it is a compact stool -- but for resting your feet while reading or working it does the job well.

How small is the interior -- will my cat actually fit? +

The interior is sized for cats up to approximately 10 to 12 lbs. A standard adult cat fits comfortably. For larger cats it will be too snug -- the Leo or Coco would be better options. For kittens and smaller cats it is a perfect enclosed retreat.

My cat is not a small breed. Is there anything in this collection for larger cats? +

Yes -- several pieces in the Home Collection accommodate larger cats. The Coco coffee table condo and the Leo side table nook both have larger interior spaces. For cats over 15 lbs, our Signature Line condos are built specifically for large breeds.

Can I use it as a small step stool to reach something? +

The Wallie is designed as a foot stool, not a step stool. The solid wood legs and construction handle adult foot-resting weight comfortably, but we would not recommend standing on it or using it as a step ladder.
