30.5" Modern Wood Cat Tree with Large Top Perch and Condo
Budget IX: Everyday Collection
The cattail basket at the top is the kind of detail that makes cats choose a tree over and over.

"I included this because the cattail top basket is genuinely different - it's a woven natural-fiber bowl that sits at the summit and gives cats a tactile perching experience you don't find at this price point. The pear wood frame underneath earns it a spot in the solid wood collection even though the condo body is engineered board."
Head of Product CurationAt 49 inches with a 19-by-19-inch base, this is a compact solid wood tree that earns its footprint. The pear wood structural posts provide the backbone, topped by a woven cattail basket - a natural fiber perch that feels and smells different from standard plush, which many cats find irresistible.
The layout offers two perch options below the basket: a 14-inch round top perch and a 14.5-inch side perch at a lower level, with a condo (13.5" diameter x 11" deep) for retreat. The 8-inch condo entrance suits medium cats well - it's intentionally cozy rather than cavernous.
At 22 lbs per layer, the capacity is appropriate for cats up to about 15 pounds. The gray and white color combination is neutral and works in most rooms.

Cattail is a natural marsh plant fiber woven into a basket shape. It's firm, textured, and has a faint natural scent that many cats find appealing. It's different from the plush fabric covering most cat tree perches.
The 22-lb-per-layer capacity is best suited for cats up to about 15 pounds. For larger breeds like Maine Coons, we'd suggest the taller trees with 33-44 lb capacity. The 8-inch condo entrance is also on the snug side for very large cats.
Natural fiber is durable but not indestructible. Cats who scratch or chew it may shorten its life. Most cats use it as a perch rather than a scratching surface, in which case it holds up well for years.
For cats under 15 lbs, the base is stable. Place it against a wall or in a corner for added security if your cat is an enthusiastic jumper.
