Two perch styles, one compact footprint -- for cats who can't decide between curling up or stretching out.

"I specifically selected this for its combination of perch types. The tub gives a cat that enclosed, protected feeling; the cradle up top is open and airy. Most cats have a preference, but some want both depending on their mood -- and this tree lets them choose without you buying two separate pieces."

Signature Line Spotlight

This item is part of our premiere collection: No MDF or Particle Board. Hand-built to order in the USA using sturdy wood, plush household-grade carpet, and natural unoiled sisal rope. Built by furniture experts with over 30 years of experience.

Some cats want a nest. Some want a perch. The 31 Inch Tub and Cradle Sleeper is built for the ones who want both -- a deep round tub with entry notch at mid-level, and an open cradle perch at the top where a cat can survey the room or catch the window light. At 31 inches, it sits at ideal window-sill height for most residential windows.

Construction is solid wood throughout -- no MDF, no particle board. Two carpeted scratching posts run the full height of the frame, and a third post is wrapped in natural unoiled sisal rope for nail health. The weighted base keeps the whole unit grounded even when a larger cat launches off the top perch. Ships fully assembled.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the tub and cradle perch styles? +

The tub is a round bed with a 4-inch wall and entry notch -- it gives a cat the enclosed, den-like feeling that many cats seek when they want to sleep undisturbed. The cradle at the top is open and slightly curved, which suits cats who prefer to lounge with full visibility of the room. Both styles appeal to cats for different reasons, and having both on one piece means you're not guessing which your cat prefers.

Is 31 inches tall enough to reach a window sill? +

For most standard residential windows, yes -- sill heights typically fall between 28 and 36 inches from the floor. At 31 inches, the cradle perch reaches that range in most rooms. If your window sill is higher, placing the tree on a low bench raises it without affecting stability. Worth measuring before ordering if window access is the primary use case.

Can a large or heavy cat use this comfortably? +

The solid wood construction handles cats up to around 20 pounds. The tub perch at 17 inches wide accommodates a larger cat without feeling cramped, and the weighted base adds stability during active use. The cradle at the top is sized for a medium-to-large cat in a curled position -- it's not a flat platform, so very large cats may prefer the tub as their primary perch.

How does this work for a multi-cat household? +

One tree, two distinct perch heights and styles -- which means two cats can use it simultaneously without competing for the same spot. The tub and cradle are separated by about 12 inches vertically, which is enough to feel like separate territory to most cats. For households with more than two cats, this works best as part of a broader vertical territory setup rather than a standalone solution.

I had just put the top piece on and hadn’t even moved it to its place yet and my oldest cat jumped to the top and wouldn’t let the other two cats on it. The tower is very sturdy and held his 13 lbs just fine. Now that it’s by the window, the three of them will “argue” over who gets the top cradle. They occasionally sit on the bottom bed, but mostly use it to jump to the top. The rope is a nice touch and they use it consistently for scratching. They seem to be happy with it.
