Five-and-a-half feet of solid wood construction -- built for multi-cat households that need real vertical territory.

Brian
Quality Standards Audit Founder’s Perspective

"At 64 inches, the framework has to support a hide-away house and two deep-walled tub perches simultaneously -- and it has to stay stable when two cats are moving between levels at the same time. I verified the solid wood core on the sisal post and the weight distribution across all three platforms. This is built to hold, not just to stand."

Signature Line Spotlight

This item is part of our premiere collection: No MDF or Particle Board. Hand-built to order in the USA using sturdy wood, plush household-grade carpet, and natural unoiled sisal rope. Built by furniture experts with over 30 years of experience.

Vertical territory matters more in multi-cat households than in single-cat homes -- cats use height to establish hierarchy and reduce conflict. At 64 inches, this gym gives a household of two or three cats enough distinct levels to each claim a spot without competing. The hide-away house provides a private enclosed space at lower height; the two tub perches -- each 17 inches wide with 7-inch walls -- sit at mid and upper levels for cats that want to lounge with security.

Built from solid wood throughout with no MDF or particle board, the framework handles the weight demands of active multi-cat use. The sisal rope section runs 12.5 inches on a solid wood post -- functional for nail care without the synthetic feel of cheaper alternatives. Minimal assembly required; ships ready to use in minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does this handle two cats using it simultaneously? +

The three distinct vertical zones -- the house at 17 inches, the mid tub at 40 inches, and the top tub at 58 inches -- are spaced far enough apart to feel like genuinely separate territory to most cats. In practice, two cats can occupy the gym at the same time without being in direct proximity, which reduces competition. The solid wood construction handles the combined weight and movement without flex or wobble.

What's the weight limit per perch? +

The Signature Line construction is rated for cats up to 20 pounds per perch. The 7-inch tub walls are a meaningful safety feature for larger cats -- they prevent accidental roll-offs during sleep and give a bigger cat the sense of containment that flat platforms don't offer. For a Maine Coon or similarly large breed, the 17-inch diameter provides enough space to stretch without the cat hanging over the edge.

Is the hide-away house genuinely enclosed or just a partial enclosure? +

It's a fully enclosed house with a 6.5" x 8" opening -- small enough that a cat inside feels private and sheltered. The interior is 15 inches across, which accommodates a medium-to-large cat in a curled position. Cats that are anxious, new to the home, or simply prefer a den-like sleep spot tend to use this level most consistently. It's not a decoration -- it serves a real behavioral function.

How stable is a 64-inch unit? Will it tip if a cat jumps from the top? +

Stability at this height depends on base design and material quality. The solid wood core -- not hollow tubes or MDF -- keeps the center of gravity lower and the framework rigid. The base is sized to counterbalance the upper perches. That said, as with any tall cat furniture, placement matters: against a wall or in a corner eliminates any lateral tipping concern entirely.

My cats LOVE this scratching tree. I needed a tree that didn't take up too much floor space, to be used in conjunction with existing trees. I was seeking a tree with "nests" and this one fit the bill. THEY LOVE THE NESTS on this tree SO MUCH. The nests are deep enough to make the kitties feel safe in their very own spot. The quality is great. I am super happy and so are the multitudes of feral and formerly feral cats who enjoy their lives here.
