If you read Yin Yin's guest column last week, you know her book, Every Cat's Survival Guide to Living With a Neurotic Owner, was recently published by Barnes & Noble. I think it's a great book, full of lots of commonsense advice about how humans and cats can live happier lives together. But success has really turned Yin Yin into a prima donna. She regards the other cats as if they are idiots, and just seems to feel as if she can do whatever she wants now.
The other day I made a cucumber salad, and she just jumped up on the dining room table and began to eat it out of my bowl! Standing on the table is absolutely forbidden in my house, but when I told her to get down, she just looked at me coolly and said "Book!"
