This unique scratcher is custom made from eastern red cedar (also called aromatic red cedar), an ostrich feather, and a ping pong ball. It is 100% natural, solid cedar, no particle board, plywood, carpet, adhesives, ect. It has not been sealed so it still releases a wonderful cedar scent.

Made from one solid piece of red cedar, your unit will be approximately 18" long, 13" tall with a diameter of 5". Its legs and base have been beveled so that it sets flat and stable so your cats can climb, scratch and crawl under it.

The feather toy will sway and turn with the slightest air movement. If you place the scratcher where there is some air movement your kitty won't be able to resist it. And this scratcher has a mouse hole with mouse! Well, a ping pong ball that acts like a mouse. When your kitty goes for the ball it rolls up and away then when she removes her paw from the mouse hole the ball comes back with a "pong" sound. The ball "mouse" can not be removed from its hole because the opening is smaller than the ball. Your cats will be fascinated by it and will not tire of trying to capture it. Your kitty will love this scratcher with critters!

This beautiful piece has been shaped, scraped, and hand sanded smooth yet retains its natural appearance. There are interesting contours and textures for your cats scratching pleasure. And cats can really dig their claws into this scratcher. Eastern red cedar is a perfect scratching medium for cats. The creamy wood is hard enough for satisfying scratching yet not so hard as to splinter and stick in the cats paws. The red heart and knot wood is very fragrant and the reason eastern red cedar is also known as aromatic red cedar.
